Pope Leo XIV's invitation to world leaders came, loud and clear, from the Loggia delle Benedizioni during the Regina Coeli. The Pontiff cited Gaza and Ukraine , hoping for a ceasefire. The theme of peace was also central on the day of the proclamation, when Leo XIV spoke of a "disarmed and disarming" peace.
